| Project: Patio Store |
The Patio Store is a garden store located in Monterrey, Mexico. They launched their own website in 2005 and asked me to make the scripting on their site.
Content Management
They wanted a section on their website where they could post some articles and news on the fly, no hassles, no coding. I installed for them a CMS system and customized the templates so it matched the look & feel of their website.
User Registration
Once I got the CMS up and running, they told me that the content they published had to be password protected and accessed only by registered users.
I installed an User Administration Panel were they could add, edit and delete users. Then I created their registration form:
http://www.thepatiostore.com.mx/registro.htm
Once their users successfully fill the form, a notification email would be sent to the client with a report of the data submitted, and simultaneously an acknowledgment email would be sent to the user with a newly generated username and password, in order to access the articles pages.
If the client wished to delete or modify the new username access, he could easily do it at the user administration panel.
Contact Form
Finally, I was asked to do a contact form for their website. Although there are a lot of free scripts out there that help with this, I ALWAYS use my own script, coded entirely by me, whenever I install webforms. This way, I make sure that there are no unwanted and resource-consuming spam attacks upon my clients.
So, I customized my webform for them, adding an auto responder with a message for their users:
